High Sensitivity = Feelings in all facets
Highly Sensitive Persons (HSP) have a very wide spectrum of feelings in which they are very variable. They can go from being overjoyed to deeply saddened within seconds. They perceive feelings very intensely.
Most HSP people can see their emotional experience. They are said to have a "face like an open book."
Since the feelings are so strong, many HSP are easily moved. Even in moments of joy or emotion.
Many Highly sensitive people are deeply touched by beauty and art. They also get completely absorbed in music.
Highly sensitive people strive for harmony
Many Highly sensitive people have a strong desire for harmony. They appreciate a beautiful, harmonious environment. They prefer to avoid conflicts. They often become mediators in the conflicts of others.
When HSP people don't take enough breaks, stress leads to cortisol production . This hormone causes feelings to linger. A small situation or remark can then sometimes keep them emotionally trapped for days. Their thoughts then revolve only around this topic.
They are often quickly hurt by criticism because they tend to relate it to their personality.
Bad news – no thanks!
Many HSP do not watch the news because the information depresses them too much. They report a kind of "world-weariness".
Highly sensitive people are empaths
Highly sensitive people are very empathetic, they can listen very well and empathize with others.
In a split second, they grasp moods in rooms and perceive hierarchies, conflicts, flirtations, and the well-being of those present.
Often report HSP that they can also perceive the feelings of others over a distance. It is also typical to think of someone who calls at the same moment.
If it mixes High Sensitivity with developmental trauma, they are better able to perceive the feelings of others than their own. Or they perceive their own emotions but suppress them too much for the other person. The feelings of others are often "contagious" for them and are sometimes attributed to themselves without verification.
Highly sensitive people have a good sense of body awareness
The Body awareness of HSP is excellent. They can easily perceive and describe sensations.
This is also reflected in an early warning system. It helps them to perceive illnesses even before the doctor can make a diagnosis.
Highly sensitive perception on other levels
Many HSP also report a sixth sense. They sense when someone has died or when something has happened to someone.
Some Highly sensitive people see the aura of people and angels, and are very skilled in subtle perception.
Sometimes their perception also ventures into clairvoyance.
